Welcome to the I-270 North Project

Beginning November 16, the westbound I-270 exit ramp to New Halls Ferry Road will close permanently.

Beginning Monday, August 9, WB Pershall Road will be closed for approximately 9 months from West Florissant Ave to Elizabeth Ave.

Beginning Monday, March 1, EB Dunn Road from GRAHAM TO WASHINGTON will be closed for approximately 7 months.

MoDOT to close westbound lane of Pershall Road beginning August 9

Drivers who use Pershall Road between West Florissant Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue should be aware that beginning August 9, MoDOT will close the westbound lane of Pershall between West Florissant and Knollstone Drive. For nine months, only one eastbound lane will remain open to traffic while MoDOT begins converting this portion of Pershall to an eastbound one-way outer road. Read More

MoDOT I‑270 Project announces I‑270 and Dunn Road impacts beginning March 1

Drivers who regularly use Dunn Road along I‑270 should be aware that MoDOT will close the eastbound lane of Dunn between Graham and Washington, beginning March 1. For seven months, a single lane will carry westbound traffic, while MoDOT begins conversion of this portion of Dunn to westbound traffic only. Read More

Project Questions

The I-270 North Design Build Project will improve mobility on the mainline, at interchanges, and on the outer roads. It aims to reduce traffic congestion faced by local users and interstate travelers.

Interstate 270 North (I-270N) from James S. McDonnell Boulevard to Bellefontaine Road in St. Louis County.

Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2020 and completed December 2023.

The I-270 project is needed to improve current conditions on I-270, including outdated highway design, deteriorating infrastructure, and reducing traffic congestion.

What we are hearing

On June 12 we demolished the Old Halls Ferry Bridge and here 100 days later, we are opening the New Old Halls Ferry Bridge....This is the first of 12 bridges that will be replaced as part of this project. "

Missouri Department of Transportation and our contractor Millstone Weber are celebrating the first milestone in the reconstruction of interstate I-270 in North County. This is the largest investment of federal and state tax dollars in the entire state at this time. It is a $278 million reconstruction. That’s a big project! "
